Yamaha True X Surround 90A Sets New Benchmark for Home Audio
The True X Surround 90A features a complete home theater setup, including a main soundbar, subwoofer, and two wireless rear speakers. Its standout component is the inclusion of 12 upward-firing height channels, powered by Yamaha’s YDA-141 amplifier, which aim to deliver immersive overhead audio without the need for ceiling-mounted speakers.
This far surpasses the typical four or five up-firing drivers seen in competing models from brands like Samsung and LG. In a major first for Yamaha soundbars, the True X Surround 90A also incorporates Surround.
AI technology from the brand’s AV receiver lineup, offering real-time adaptive audio processing for dynamic and responsive sound. The main soundbar of the True X Surround 90A features four large oval full-range drivers and three tweeters arranged in a left-center-right configuration.
This setup delivers clear dialogue, well-defined mids, and crisp high frequencies for a balanced and immersive soundstage. Altogether, the system is designed to provide a cinematic audio experience tailored to your living room.
Yamaha True X Surround 90A Packs Premium Features and Next-Gen Wireless Audio
The Yamaha True X Surround 90A supports premium audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, delivering lifelike, three-dimensional sound. This enables a cinematic audio experience that surrounds listeners with precise, immersive detail.
It also offers Apple AirPlay compatibility and integrates seamlessly with Yamaha’s MusicCast multi-room audio platform. Powered by Yamaha’s True X wireless system, the 90A ensures seamless, lag-free audio sync across the subwoofer and rear speakers for immersive surround sound.
This ensures seamless audio performance and a clutter-free, immersive home theater setup. This delivers consistent and dynamic surround sound across your entire home theater setup.
Notably, the wireless rear speakers can also function independently as standalone Bluetooth speakers, adding flexibility to the setup. The subwoofer is engineered with Yamaha’s symmetrical flare port design and redesigned internal airflow plates, effectively reducing vibrations and port noise by up to 20dB.
As the flagship model above the True X 40 and 50 series, the Yamaha 90A delivers a major upgrade in both audio performance and design innovation. It inherits advanced acoustic innovations from Yamaha’s renowned Sound Projector lineup, enhancing spatial audio precision and depth.
With early reviews expected soon, the True X Surround 90A is shaping up to be Yamaha’s most advanced home theater system yet.
